Crime is now getting out of hand in Roosevelt Park

Letter from a Roosevelt Park resident:
At 1.45am this morning, June 25, 2011, two men armed with guns broke down the electric fence and palisade bars of my neighbour - 28 Schroder Street. The tenants of the house have been there almost two months (the last ones left because of the high incidents of crime on that property).

Three dead after Northcliff shootout

A police reservist and two other people were killed in a shoot-out in Northcliff on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 11.30am. Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini who was on the scene, said Fairlands police tried to stop a white Mercedes Benz which had aroused suspicions.

Warning there is silver BMW, registration: TKN 870 GP connected with house robberies and hijackings. They have been operating for six weeks in this car, they follow residents home.
The car was hijacked in the beginning of March 2011 from Honeydew and these guys went back two Saturdays ago and robbed the same family again.

Hijackers caught by ADT officer in Victory Park

ADT Reaction Officer Joshua Majola saved the day on April 12, 2011 when he apprehended two hijack suspects in Victory Park. Majola was on patrol at around 6.45am on Road 3 heading towards Rustenburg Road, when he saw two men running in his direction.
