This car has recently been spotted cruising in the Northcliff area and is associated with housebreakings.
The modus operandi is for one of the occupants to go around on foot, ringing doorbells to see if anyone is home. If an empty house is identified, the gear rail is levered off the gate to gain access, and then entry to the house is gained by brute force.
A piece of flat bar welded to the top of the gear rail and the gate body will assist to thwart entry via the gate. Make sure your gate has an anti-lift mechanism. Make sure you always set your alarm, regardless of how quickly you will be popping out.
