Overturned truck blocks N1

The N1 highway at the Malibongwe offramp was completely blocked after a truck overturned on Thursday, Johannesburg metro police said.

Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said the truck had overturned shortly before midday and it was unclear whether anyone was injured.

He advised motorists to exit the highway at Beyers Naude Drive or Gordon Road to avoid that section of the N1.

Metro police were on the scene.
