Dear Councillor
Would it be possible for your office to email me by laws regarding noise in the Northcliff suburbs.
I have a neighbour that creates havoc on Sundays by having power tools running.
I believe there are laws that give times and types of noise and when they are permitted and not permitted.
Your help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Dear Clr Richards,
I am writing to you as property manager for Northcliff Square. I received numerous complaints from my frequent shoppers that visit our shopping centre about the Tow Trucks that park in the parking area of the centre. These people totally ignore the road rules when speeding out of the centre and when asked not to wash their cars in the parking my guards and also myself have been threatened, even some tenants. I have laid a trespass complaint at the Linden Police station but get absoluteley no results or assistance from the Police department.
What can we as property owners do to secure a safe shopping experience for our shoppers as we cannot even get rid of this rif raf that brings a bad element to our centre? Which route should we take?
Thank you. Denise Wannenburg
I have written to the council several times about the gate to Montgomery Spruit (opposite the firestation) being open. Each message has been ignored. Is there any point to having a email address for complaints if they can be ignored?
Because the gate is open (and full of holes elsewhere) people have again started using the spruit as a dump. The number of vagrants is increasing. This evening some residents resorted to trying to burn them out. Its a sad state of affairs when residents have to revert to vigilante action because of the incompetence of the council.
