Eyewitness News reports, Metro police are clamping down on overloaded taxis transporting children to Northcliff primary school in Johannesburg; they are issuing them with hefty fines.
A Northcliff resident writes:
We have been having various armed robberies in our area (Stuart Place) that has spiked tremendously in the last year. We have had six robberies in the past year alone and it's the same suspects that return.

Four men were arrested on Friday January 13, 2012 near a shopping complex in Linden for being in the possession of explosives and two illegal firearms.
