Correct technique for squatting

Many, many people I see squatting do it incorrectly.
The easiest way to do it is to
• Stand in front of a wall
• Place your toes against the wall
• Sit down as if you are going to sit on a chair
• If your knees touch the wall that is perfect
• Then that is low enough
• If the squat is too low then a tendon at the front of your knee is put under considerable strain, which is not healthy for it.
• The key to remember is, when you squat, ask yourself, can you see your toes? If not, you are too low or need to place your hips backwards.
