Rhythmethod and Dansazania present Tap Jam
Let us introduce the miracle of dance to more people. Let’s teach them the meaning of creativity and rhythm. Let us activate their right brains. Let us together celebrate the wonder that is tap dance that has its ground roots in Africa on Saturday June 5, 2010 at Dansazania Studios, corner Carlow and Rustenberg roads Melville.
Let us celebrate for the joy of celebrating and bond together the tap dancers of South Africa. Will you be part of a momentous event that can further the recognition of dance and the arts in South Africa?
A celebration of tap dance to coincide with national tap day in USA , which in turn coincides with the birthday of tap legend bill “Bojangles” Robinson. National tap day has become known as International Tap Day.
A celebration of tap dance consisting of sixteen hours of tap workshops with some of SA’s top teachers (4 -5 hours per level). Our day will culminate in a performance by each workshops class and other guest performers. We are hoping to have drummers, buskers, flea market, musicians, jammers.
Everyone is welcome. We have workshops for beginner to advanced tap dancers and also an important non tappers class for those who always wanted to try it all out. No tap shoes required maybe just hard soles -tell everyone!
