Gem and Mineral show at Cresta

Mineral collectors, lovers of jewellery and school goers alike are invited to visit the Gem & Mineral Show taking place at Cresta Shopping Centre from Thursday 29th May to Sunday 8th June. Exhibitions will be placed in various courts of the centre and the show will open from 10am to 5pm daily.

Whilst polished gems of all different varieties, shapes and colours will dazzle visitors, collectors are certain to find interest in the array of minerals and mineral specimens, and gemstone spheres and eggs of all sizes. Other items of interest will include geodes, ammonite and trilobite fossils, crystals, crystal formations and agate slices.

Forming part of the expo will be exhibitions of jewellery. The variety of jewellery styles will include both small delicate pieces and heavy bold items such as bead necklaces and bracelets of semi-precious stones and silver. There'll also be a collection of ornamental items such as stone carvings, trinket boxes, perfume bottles of gemstone and silver, Tibetan singing bowls and ionic salt lamps to purify the air, amongst others.

Whilst mums and dads examine the many displays, children can take advantage of a scratch patch filled with tumbled stones of all kinds. This will be situated in the banking court.
